Data Request (GDPR / CCPA)
Last Updated: May 29, 2026 • Effective Date: May 29, 2026
1.Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and California’s CCPA/CPRA give you rights over your personal information. We honor the following for everyone who asks:
- Access / Know. Get a copy of the personal information we hold about you and learn how we use it.
- Rectification / Correct. Fix information that’s inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure / Delete. Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Portability. Receive your information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Restriction / Objection. Limit or object to certain processing.
- Opt out. Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we don’t do either — see Do Not Sell or Share).
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
2.Submit a Request
Fill this out and your email app will open a pre-filled message to our team. Prefer to write us yourself? Email team@lyfework.io with the same details.
3.How We Verify Your Identity
To protect your information, we need to be reasonably sure a request is really from you. We’ll usually verify by confirming control of the email address associated with your records, and we may ask a small number of follow-up questions to match what we already hold. We won’t ask for more information than necessary, and we use anything you provide only to handle your request.
4.Response Times
We acknowledge requests promptly and aim to complete them as quickly as we can. By law we’ll respond within one month (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA/CPRA) of a verified request. If a request is complex, we may extend this as the law allows and will tell you why.
5.Authorized Agents
You may authorize someone to make a request for you. We’ll ask for proof that you gave them permission, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity before we act.
6.Fees
Handling your request is free. In the rare case a request is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, the law allows us to charge a reasonable fee or decline — if that ever applies, we’ll explain why before doing anything.
7.Appeals & Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we handled your request, reply to us and we’ll review it again. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in the EU/UK, your local supervisory authority; in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency or the state Attorney General.
8.Changes to This Page
We may update this page as our practices or the law change. We’ll revise the “Last Updated” date above when we do.
